Freight Science (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides analytics and operating-model software for truckload carriers, dedicated fleets and private fleets. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit freightscience.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

When you request a demo or contact us through a form on our website, we collect the information you enter. That typically includes your name, business email address, company name, phone number, the transportation management system you use, the areas of our platform you are interested in, and anything you write in a message field.

We use this to respond to you, to prepare for a conversation, and to keep a record of our contact with you in our customer relationship management system.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we and our service providers automatically collect technical information about your visit. This includes your network (IP) address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site or search that referred you, and the dates and times of your visits.

Company identification

When you visit our website, we use a third-party service to estimate the organisation you are visiting from, based on your network address. This tells us the company name and which pages were viewed. It does not tell us your name. We use this to understand which businesses are interested in our products and to prioritise who our sales team contacts.

Linking your earlier visits

If you submit a form on our website, we link the pages you viewed before submitting it to your contact record, including visits from before you identified yourself. We use this to understand what you were interested in before you got in touch.

Advertising

We use a LinkedIn advertising tag on our website. This allows us to show you advertisements on LinkedIn after you have visited us, and lets us see aggregate information about the job titles and industries of our visitors. LinkedIn receives information about your visit.

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our service providers use cookies and comparable technologies on our website. We use them for four purposes: to measure how the site is used, to recognise returning visitors and record form submissions, to estimate the organisation a visit comes from, and for advertising.

The table below lists the categories in use and the identifiers each one sets in your browser.

Some of these are stored as cookies and some in your browser’s local storage. Local storage is not cleared when you close your browser, so clearing cookies alone may not remove all of them. Your browser’s settings will let you clear both.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how our website is used. Google Analytics collects and processes data about your visit, including your IP address and the pages you view. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at google.com/policies/privacy/partners and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it in exchange for money.

We share information with service providers who perform these functions on our behalf — website analytics, customer relationship management, company identification, and advertising — and who are contractually limited to using it for those purposes. We may also share information where we are required to by law, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition.

Your choices

Cookies. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of our website work.

Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to stop advertising and analytics tracking on our site.

LinkedIn advertising. You can control how LinkedIn uses your data for advertising in your LinkedIn account settings.

Ask us directly. Email info@freightscience.com and we will remove your information from our systems, or stop the company-identification and advertising tracking described above for your visits, on request. We do not require you to verify your identity to make that request.

How long we keep information

We keep contact records for as long as we have an active or prospective business relationship with you, and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping. Website analytics data is retained according to the settings of those services. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our website and products are intended for business use. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change, and we will change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be noted here.
